5 Ways to Defeat a Sweater

Take out his sweater from the machine with two sizes less, it has already happened to everyone. Discover our 5 tips to give a second youth to this essential piece of winter.

Defeating, what is it?
When we talk about felted wool, it is simply that it has shrunk. Indeed, wool is a very fragile natural fiber. To preserve it, we must, therefore, respect a few golden rules such as washing with cold water, a suitable laundry and finally, a drying in the open air. If you skipped one of these steps, do not panic. There are simple techniques to defeat your beloved sexy sweater.

1) Defeat a sweater with conditioner
Here is a first technique very simple since we have all the conditioner in our bathroom. Take a basin that you fill with warm water, see cold. Add a tablespoon of conditioner per liter of water. Then, dip your sweater for about four hours. From time to time, gently stretch the wool. Repeat the operation. Rinse the sweater with water and add a cup of white vinegar. Dry and let your sweater dry between two towels. Finally, let it sit and lay flat on a dry towel.

2) Defeat a sweater with cooking water from white beans
This sounds amazing, but in addition to being healthy, white beans can also be used to defeat your damaged sweater. After making a lot of white beans leather (because you will need a lot of water), immerse your sweater in the same water. Every fifteen minutes pull the knit of your sweater to stretch it. Then rinse with clear water and add a cup of white vinegar. Let it rest. Spin lightly and let your sweater dry in two terry towels. Finally, let it sit and lay flat on a dry towel.

3) Defeat a sweater with glycerin
Unlike white beans or conditioners, not everyone has glycerin at home. Know that it is easily found in pharmacies and sometimes, in the radius of the beauty products of your supermarket. As for the two previous tips, immerse your sweater in a basin of warm or cold water. Add a tablespoon of glycerine per liter of water. Every quarter of an hour, gently stretches the wool. Rinse with clear water, then add a cup of white vinegar and let stand. Spin lightly and let dry your sweater which was uncomfortable with two terry towels. Then as before, let it sit and lay flat on a dry towel.

4) Defeat a sweater with vinegar water
Enjoy your night's sleep to save your sweater. Bathe the latter in a bowl of vinegar water. This time, you will need a glass of white vinegar per liter of water. Let stand all night. The next day, rinse with clear water, wring out and sponge your sweater between two towels sponges before letting it dry flat, again, on a dry towel.

5) Defeat a sweater with the iron
Here, no need for special ingredients but just an iron. Gently iron your sweater by stretching the mesh little by little. Just pull a little on the wool. Repeat until the sweater returns to normal size. Of course, use a program of your iron adapted to the wool.
